Come to the world's greatest aviation celebration! EAA Air Venture Oshkosh is an annual gathering of aviation fans held each summer. This event is run by the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA), a national and international organization based in Oshkosh, WI. The air show is seven days long and usually begins in the last Monday in July.
- The airport's control tower is the busiest control tower in the world for the seven day period.
- Daily parking fees in EAA lots for autos, motorcycles and RVs is $8.00
- Non-members admission fees for adults $37, student (6-18) $20, and children (5 & under) Free.
- Gates open at 7A.M. each morning!
- Exhibit buildings open 9am to 5pm daily.
- For members admission fees for adults $25 each day or $ 110 for the week, spouse $21 or $75 for the week, student (6-18) $17 or $55 for the week, adult guest $30 or $145 for the week (limit 2), and children (5 & under) Free!
- EAA was founded in 1953 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin as an organization for people who were building or fixing their own aircraft.
- It is estimated that about 10,000 to 15,000 people attend the event each year.
- In 1998 the name was changed to AirVenture Oshkosh
- EAA offers complimentary shuttle service to Airventure from the hotel.
